Umoja Debate League’s after-school program serves students in grades 6–12 who attend one of our partner schools. The season runs from January through May, with weekly team practices at each school and monthly debate tournaments throughout the season, culminating in the championship in May.

 

Through debate, students strengthen their critical thinking, literacy, self-expression, confidence, and conflict-resolution skills in a structured, supportive, and competitive environment.
